The Story
Award-Winning Cape Cod Fried Seafood and Family Fun Adventure Golf
Cape Cod’s native son, Nathan “Nick” Nickerson and his famous lower Cape seafood restaurant, Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar has built a reputation for the highest quality seafood with “white glove” cleanliness. Large portions, friendly customer service and affordable prices continue to build upon Nick’s original philosophy—today. Taste and experience why Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar is a favorite Cape Cod destination, convenient to the Rail Trail bike path and the National Seashore Park in Eastham, MA (view map).
Happy Days and Arnold’s
Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar was inspired over 30 years ago by the popular television series, “Happy Days” with its malt shop, Arnold’s. Originally Arnold’s was a drive-in clam shack with its own feel good gathering and eating place.
Nickerson’s version was geared toward a Cape Cod theme: a lobster and clam shack with roller skating car-hops, a malt-shop menu and a 50s theme. Arnold’s fast became known as a quality seafood shack with affordable prices and good old fashioned fun.
The same philosophy holds true today. The original Arnold’s Clam Shack has grown into Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar, an award-winning restaurant and adventure spot from its modest beginnings in 1976.
Unplanned Expansion Sees Arnold’s Serving Ice Cream
A fire in 1993 helped Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar become the Cape Cod family dining and adventure destination it is today.
The Cape Cod seafood restaurant was enlarged to better accommodate their loyal seafood fans with a gourmet ice cream stand added as well. Adventure golf would come next.
Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar has to be experienced: from the freshest seafood at affordable prices, to creating family memories, playing mini golf and enjoying over 30 Richardson’s Dairy flavors at the ice cream stand.
Happy Days are still here!
